Production System for Display Glasses
Helbling Technik supported the development of a system for coating large glasses for LCD production, from conception through to revision and adaptation for series production.
Characterization of the system:
Loading and unloading is done with an external handler. An internal handling robot transfers the glass from a load lock module to the process chamber and back. The process runs in a high-vacuum environment.
Our tasks included:
- Mechanical concept based on existing system for smaller glasses
- Dimensioning and structural analysis
- Design of system and preparation of production documents including SAP entries
- Accompanying production and assembly
- Revision and adaptation for series production
