In Mould Labeling Technology (IML) for Decorative Elements
IML allows for the most varied patterns, images and colours to be added using the same tool. After a one-off investment, new design variants can therefore be realized with comparatively low expenditure.
Procedure:
Helbling Technik used the IML process to develop new visible components for design variants which are manufactured in low and moderate numbers. The existing mass production components provided the basis.
Characterization of the visible components using the IML process:
- The IML visible components for design variants must be exchangeable with existing components from mass production
- The interfaces between the IML visible component and the basic machine are identical to those in the existing mass production series
- A high level of flexibility in the design
