Air Cooled Condenser System for Binchang 2x200MW thermal power plant
Thermal power generation by steam turbines is depending on efficient cooling systems for condensation of the exhaust steam. The lack of cooling water and changing environmental laws are forcing the use of dry cooling systems. With Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) technology cooling water is fully replaced by ambient air.
Air cooled condenser systems are condensing turbine exhaust steam inside finned tubes which are externally cooled by ambient air. The steam leaving the turbine is distributed via duct system to large condenser arranged in A-shaped roof structure on an elevated platform. Cooling air is provided by fans located at the bottom of the A-shaped condenser arrangement.
In cooperation with Swiss partner companies Helbling is providing the full design for air cooled condenser systems based on advanced single row condenser tube technology.
