Model Driven Architecture (MDA) Software Development
Background:
A graphical configuration tool needs to be developed for a leading automobile supplier. The tools should be extremely flexible based on the newest software development methods (MDA, Eclipse, XML).
Strategy
From an AUTOSAR-XSD schematic an EMF and UML-model was created in Eclipse. The flexible GUI was created using RCP. As input files for the GUI special XML files were developed. The data configured in the GUI was then saved using an XML output file.
Result
The configuration tool was successfully integrated into the supplier’s AUTOSAR tool chain. Timeline: 1 ½ years
